Whytecliff park =D

So the weather finally decided to behave, it was a very nice day for an outdoor adventure with my boyfriend. I must admit, it was a fun little adventure after stuffing our faces at I hop. The new slammer (whipping cream, blueberry/strawberry/ cinnamon apple filling, pancake, cream cheese, and pancake) was a good, he was disappointed that it didn't look anything like it did in the advertisement. We were talking about flying a kite, I never flew a kite before - I know it's kind of sad for me to admit that. I guess we decided against it since it wasn't windy enough and my boyfriend didn't want to look stupid running with a 6 ft black shark kite that won't fly. I had a good chuckle at that image.

Well we ended up at Whyte Cliff park over in West Van. It was a very nice drive down there. I actually love the scenery and the view of the water. I wished I got some shots of it but I think it would of been a little hard in a moving  car. Now at Whyte Cliff park, the biggest tourist attraction would be the big giant rock they have there. (Awkwardly posted below:)

I don't know if a lot of people know this about me, but I'm terrified of heights. Yes, I am terrified of heights and the dark...and...bugs crawling on my leg... yeah. I'm terrified a lot of things. Just by looking at the picture, you'd think "oh that's not bad of a climb," I initially thought the same when I saw it, but as I started climbing it up more and more, I started getting a little nervous. I think quarter way up there I thought we were half way up to the top. Well, we weren't and I was starting to get a little nervous. I was terrified of slipping. Well long sobbing story later, I made it to the other side, got to sit there and enjoy the view for a bit before the horrible and painful climb back to land. On the way down a I ran into a geese sitting in it's nest. It startled me, and I  guess my boyfriend didn't notice it. When I pointed it out he wanted to pet it, too bad he didn't I would of loved to seen the reaction. I know I'm mean.

We were lucky to get some pictures and I kept commenting on how it looked like it was posing. It's probably used to it, after all... its getting to be tourist season. Or it;s surprised some one noticed it sitting there.

annnd to top it off: my nervous face?
